This Wolf and That Wolf

After waiting for a long time, a wolf finally appeared in the depths of the dense forest. Wolves have a sensitive sense of smell. It followed the smell of blood and found the “corn cob”.

The wolf seemed very hungry. First, it tried to pick up the “corn cob” but failed. Then it began to lick the “corn cob” impatiently with its tongue. While licking, its eyes were constantly looking around, vigilantly observing the surroundings.

The melted rabbit blood gave off a strong smell of blood, which attracted the hungry wolf. It licked faster and more forcefully. Gradually, the sharp blade of the triangular scraper was exposed, but the wolf didn’t stop licking.

Tom was curious and whispered to Jack, “The wolf’s tongue has touched the blade. Why is it still licking?”

Jack told him that the wolf was so busy observing the surroundings that it didn’t notice the blade. Also, the groove of the triangular scraper was very deep. Although the blade was exposed, there was still a lot of rabbit blood left in the groove, so it had to keep licking. “Even if it saw the blade, it wouldn’t stop. It must lick all the remaining blood in the groove.”

Tom asked again, “Isn’t it afraid of hurting its tongue by licking like this?”

Jack said, “Blood is like drugs to an addict for a hungry wolf. When an addict has a drug craving and finally gets the drug, they won’t give up even if it means losing their life. Wolves are blood – thirsty by nature. Now, it’s out of control, just like an addict.”

As Jack said, from a distance, the wolf’s rapidly twitching tongue was bleeding continuously, but it still didn’t stop licking. Tom couldn’t help asking again, “Doesn’t it feel pain?”

Jack said, “Wolves are greedy by nature. It’s in the middle of enjoying the blood – licking. The smell of blood has taken its soul, and it doesn’t feel the pain anymore. I figured out this wolf – hunting method by understanding the wolf’s nature.”
