After listening to Tom’s introduction, Jack showed a faint smile and said, “Then I’ll tell you a very effective folk remedy – smear the wound with wolf blood soaked in wall paper.”

Wall paper was easy to find, but where could they find wolf blood? Tom was worried. So, Jack asked him to accompany him to hunt the wolf.

The uncle and nephew walked into the snow – covered forest…

After choosing a good location, Jack took out the prepared “corn cob” and inserted it into the snow with the tip up. Then he took out a thermos from his pocket and poured the water in it around the “corn cob”. In a short time, the “corn cob” was firmly frozen on the snow. Then, the two of them walked to the leeward side, found a place to hide, and waited for the hungry wolf to take the bait. The falling snow soon covered their footprints.

Due to over – hunting in previous years, the number of wolves in the forest had decreased. But in the cold winter when the mountains were blocked by snow, hungry wolves would always go out in search of food.
