Unauthorized Entry chapter 1

It was supposed to be an ordinary night. There was no power outage, no water cut, no clogged sewer pipes, no quarrels among neighbors, and no lunar eclipse, meteor shower, or sudden drop in temperature. If there was any difference from the past, it was that my wife and son were not at home, making the night even colder and less likely to have any stories. To my relief, there was going to be a highly anticipated boxing match between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield on TV that night. This was a long – awaited battle of the century for me. I’m a boxing fan. If I had to choose, I’d rather forgo my entire year’s bonus, have a minor car accident, or separate from my wife for three months than miss this fight.
