Photocopied Lottery Tickets chapter 4
by Michael BeanA Comical Ending
The young boss blushed and slapped the table, shouting: “No matter how you defend yourself, the rule of lottery tickets is that they are unregistered and non – refundable. Since it’s in my hand, it’s mine. It’s useless for you to say more!”
Lucy disdained to argue with him. Angrily, she turned her face to the side. Suddenly, her sight was attracted by a desk with drawers in the room… Lucy suddenly stood up and said to the young boss: “Stop shouting. This lottery ticket belongs to you.” Then she walked out.
The young boss was stunned, and the police officer was also shocked. Was she really giving up five million dollars just like that?
It was the police officer who came to his senses first. He said to Lucy: “Then please sign here.” The young boss nervously watched Lucy finish signing and let out a long sigh of relief, as if the five million dollars had already been in his pocket.
The police officer and Lucy walked out of the copy shop together. His hesitant look made Lucy laugh.
“Are you wondering why I gave up five million dollars just like that? I’ll tell you. I took the wrong lottery ticket in the rush this morning. The one in the young boss’s hand is from last period. The winning one of this period is still safely placed in the drawer of my bookcase at home!”
