The Unique Skills of the “Dog – like Township Head” chapter 4
by Melissa WattsDesperate to Run Over a Dog and Reaping the Consequences
As Jack had expected, he turned the car around and drove back. After driving for a long distance, he still didn’t see a single dog. Just when he was extremely anxious, his eyes suddenly lit up. There, under a dim street lamp on the side of the road, was a big, fat yellow dog sitting there.
Jack was afraid of scaring the dog away, so he immediately slowed down and turned off the headlights. This time, Jack decided to use another one of his special skills – the direct – impact method, regardless of what kind of dog it was. When the car got close to the dog, he suddenly stepped on the accelerator hard. The front of the car rushed straight towards the dog. In an instant, they heard two thuds. The dog hit the street lamp post and bounced back to the ground. It didn’t even make a sound before it died.
Jack braked to a stop with a screech and a smile appeared on his face. Tom blinked his eyes and asked, “Did you hit it?” Jack nodded proudly. “Really?” Tom looked at him suspiciously because the whole process had only taken a few seconds and he hadn’t had time to see clearly. Jack looked at Tom’s skeptical eyes, said nothing, and got out of the car confidently. He opened the trunk and was about to put the dog in when suddenly he heard a shout, “Hey -”
Jack turned around and saw a figure running towards him from a distance. Jack thought to himself that something was wrong. He knew that some farmers in this area trained dogs to deliberately run into cars so that they could extort money from passing drivers. If you didn’t pay enough, you couldn’t leave. Jack’s first reaction was to rush over and pick up the dog. But when he bent down to pick up the yellow “dog”, he suddenly froze in place as if he had been electrocuted.
Tom saw that Jack was standing still and didn’t know what was going on. After a while, Jack suddenly let out a scream of “My God!” and then fell to the ground with a thud.
Tom was very curious and quickly stepped closer to take a look. When he did, he was so shocked that his face turned pale. What Jack had run over was not a dog at all, but a petite girl wearing a yellow fur coat and with blond hair!
At this time, the figure from a distance also ran up. He was the girl’s boyfriend. It turned out that the girl and her boyfriend were taking a walk on the street. Suddenly, her shoelace came undone, so she squatted down under the street lamp to tie it. Her boyfriend was walking slowly ahead. Who would have thought that in the dim light, Jack mistook the girl for a yellow dog. With the headlights off and his eagerness to run over a dog, he just drove straight into the girl…
This was a huge disaster. Tom finally came to his senses and realized the seriousness of the situation. He quickly dialed 911 and 911 (in the US, 911 is used for emergencies including police and medical) with his trembling hands.
Needless to say, Jack’s attempt to attract investment was completely ruined, and he definitely lost his mayoral position. After he woke up, he wasn’t sent to prison but to a mental hospital because he had gone crazy…
