The Murder by Phone chapter 3
by Michael GrayYou’re having a bad day today
At this time, the young man waiting outside the phone booth got impatient. He kept knocking on the glass door of the phone booth and shouting, “Sir, this is a public phone booth. You’ve been on the phone for so long. Please get out quickly.” Sam was really angry. He gave the young man a disgusted look and said, “This isn’t your home. What right do you have to tell me what to do?” The young man was furious: “If you don’t come out, I’ll kill you!”
Maybe the young man’s roar was heard by the person on the phone. A burst of triumphant laughter came from the other end: “Haha, Sam, you’re having a bad day today. You’re no match for him!”
“Shut up!” Sam shouted into the receiver, “It’s all your fault!”
As he was speaking, the young man outside the phone booth really got angry. He rammed his body against the glass door. He looked like he was going to rush in and swallow Sam alive. Sam felt a little scared: If they really fought, he definitely couldn’t beat this strong young man. He would surely get beaten up!
Just as the glass door was about to be broken open, the voice on the phone suddenly became very kind: “Sam, do you need help? You’re definitely no match for him!” Sam was at a loss. He nervously asked, “How can you help me?” The other person said, “As long as you nod, I can immediately shoot him dead with an infrared pistol.”
Sam didn’t believe it. And he wouldn’t kill someone just because he was angry. But at that moment, the glass door was broken open. The young man rushed in and punched Sam in the chest. Sam’s teeth chattered. He couldn’t defend himself. He turned his head and shouted into the receiver, “Okay!” As soon as he said “Okay”, the young man suddenly froze, then fell backward at the door of the phone booth. Blood gushed out from his shoulder and flowed out of the booth.
Did he really kill him? Sam’s face turned as white as a sheet. His body trembled as he shouted into the phone, “Why did you kill him?”
“Did you see me kill him?” the voice on the phone said, “It was clearly you who killed him. You can’t deny it! People on the street saw it all.” Sure enough, passers – by noticed the young man lying on the ground and gathered around.
