A Reality Show

Just then, he heard his door “bang” open. There were several people outside – the wandering artist Jason, the tour guide, the hotel manager and the hysterical tourist. Before Beckon could react, they rushed in and pinned him firmly to the ground.

The police arrived at the scene five minutes later and arrested Beckon on the spot. Beckon was completely confused. He shouted, “What on earth is going on? Why are they still alive? Why did they rush in?”

The wandering artist Jason walked up to Beckon and said with a smile, “Actually, we are staff from Romanian TV, making a humorous reality – show program.”

Jason calmly told Beckon that their TV station invited a group of tourists who had never been to Count Dracula’s Castle before and deliberately told them the terrifying legend of Count Dracula. The TV staff dressed up as victims drained of blood by vampires and lay in the hotel corridors to scare the tourists. Hidden cameras were placed everywhere in the hotel to capture the tourists’ panicked and funny expressions. Of course, they would only broadcast the program after getting the tourists’ consent. When Beckon was trying to murder Lucy, they were in the control room, enjoying the wonderful performances of the tourists in each room.

After hearing this, Beckon showed a look of despair on his face. He shouted at Jason, “Your program is the stupidest, most absurd and most boring program in the world!”

Jason replied indifferently, “I bet you that when this program is broadcast on TV tomorrow night, it will become the highest – rated program in Romanian TV history – all thanks to you!”
