Fighting with Flesh and Blood

The three of them were greatly shocked. There were no weapons in the car to deal with the leopard. There was nothing they could do but wait for the leopard to leave before getting out of the car to refuel. But the leopard seemed determined. It lay beside the car, waiting for the three people in the car like a hunter waiting for its prey.

The sun had risen higher, and it started to get hot inside the car. Soon, the three of them were sweating profusely. But the damned leopard was quite smart. To avoid the scorching sun, it went to lie in the shadow of the car and showed no sign of leaving. The three of them could only sit in the car, suffering and waiting… I don’t know how much time had passed. The sun had set, and it started to get cold inside the car. At night, the three of them were shivering with cold. But the leopard outside the car still stared at them with its big, round eyes, like a ghost lying in the grass, watching them covetously and refusing to leave…

The next morning, the leopard was still lying there, with its eyes half-closed, looking like it was sleeping. Barbara gently opened the car door and was about to get out to refuel when the leopard suddenly leaped out of the grass and pounced on her. Scared, Barbara quickly closed the car door. There was nothing they could do but continue to wait it out with the leopard.

At noon, the leopard even crawled under the car to avoid the heat, showing every sign of waging a long – term battle. At this time, it was as hot as an oven inside the car. They had run out of food and water. Hunger, thirst, heat and fear had tortured the three of them beyond recognition. Barbara and Celis could still barely hold on, but Jiang Ran, due to his weak body and excessive blood loss, couldn’t hold on anymore. What was even more terrifying was that he started to have a fever and gradually lost consciousness!

Barbara hugged Jiang Ran and burst into tears. She knew that if he wasn’t sent to the hospital in time, he would be in danger of losing his life. As she was crying, suddenly, she made a terrible decision. With tears in her eyes, she said to Celis, “I’m going to rush out of the car and lead the leopard away. You take the opportunity to refuel the car and then take Jiang Ran to the town hospital. Remember, you must save him!”

Celis said in surprise, “My God, are you crazy? You’ll lose your life!”

Barbara cried, “But if we keep waiting like this, Jiang Ran will die!”

Celis stared at her with wide eyes. He asked in disbelief, “For him, you’re willing to be food for the leopard? Is love really that great?”

“Yes!” After saying that, Barbara was about to rush out. Celis was quick – witted and grabbed her. He took out a dagger and said, “I won’t let you die so easily!”

Barbara asked, “What do you want to do?”

“Actually, when I saw the anesthetics in the car, I thought of a way to subdue the leopard, but I didn’t have the courage to say it, and I didn’t want to sacrifice myself… Your actions just now not only made me understand what true love is, but also deeply touched me.” At this point, Celis shed tears. “Although it will be very painful for me to do this, I’ve found my soul. You saved me, and I should repay you!” With that, he stabbed the dagger hard into his left arm. Blood gushed out immediately. He endured the severe pain and started to amputate his own arm!

Barbara immediately understood what Celis meant. It was too late to stop him. She shed tears and wanted to inject anesthetic for him, but to save the anesthetic, Celis didn’t let her. Just like this, Celis’s left arm was amputated without a single drop of anesthetic. He fainted from the pain… Barbara was deeply touched. She gently kissed Celis on the face, then injected all the anesthetics into the severed arm and threw the bloody arm out of the car…

The leopard had been extremely hungry for a long time. When it smelled the blood, it pounced on the arm and swallowed it in a few mouthfuls. In a short time, this fierce leopard was anesthetized and collapsed on the ground, motionless.

Barbara jumped out of the car, quickly refueled it, and then drove the car like an arrow towards the town…
