In a New York residential building, an elderly retired factory – worker couple lives on the second floor. Their neighbor, a dark – faced man, has always been serious and expressionless. But one day, he suddenly smiles at the old man. Then, he invites them to his son’s wedding. After the event, he goes back to his poker – faced self. Later, he smiles again to invite them to his grandson’s one – month party. Each time, the couple has to spend a large sum of money.
