Sure enough, just one day later, Mike’s report was approved.

This incident caused a great stir in the town. Some people were skeptical and asked Tom about it. Tom said firmly, “It’s true. I admire those who speak openly!”

After that, many people in the town started to speak up openly. Whenever they had something to say, they’d wait for Tom to come by and tell him face – to – face, adding, “Think about it. I’m speaking openly.”

Every time, Tom would be very magnanimous and say, “Since you’re speaking openly, I promise to correct my mistakes if I have any and take your advice to heart if there’s no mistake.”
