When saying goodbye, everyone told Amy’s dad to buy his daughter some nice clothes and delicious food and to pay attention to her recuperation. Amy’s dad didn’t expect the hospital to be so kind. He was so excited that his eyes were filled with tears. He smiled like a child and kept babbling many words of thanks. Then, he held his daughter’s hand and happily left the hospital.

You know, Amy’s dad really listened to the doctors and nurses. As soon as they walked out of the hospital gate, he wanted to buy all kinds of things for little Amy. But Amy refused everything. She asked her dad to save the money to buy a cow. She said that it was almost time for spring plowing, and the family couldn’t do without a cow. Amy’s dad couldn’t persuade his daughter, so he just silently followed her around.

When passing by a photo studio, little Amy suddenly got excited. She said, “Dad, let’s go and take a photo!” Seeing his daughter happy, Amy’s dad readily agreed, “Okay, okay.”

Little Amy first took a group photo with her dad and then took a single photo of herself. After waiting for a while, the photos were developed. The father and daughter looked at the photos back and forth and were happy for a long time.

Amy said, “Dad, it’s okay now. If I’m not by your side in the future, you can look at this photo, and you won’t miss me so much.”

Dad said, “Silly girl, how could you leave Dad? Even if you dislike Dad in the future, Dad will always stick to you!”

Amy leaned in her dad’s arms and blinked her eyes, looking for reasons, “For example, if I go to college, or after I graduate and start working, and… in the future, when I get married, won’t I leave Dad then?”

Amy’s dad shook his head, “No, I won’t let my daughter get married. By then, I’ll find a son – in – law to move into our family!” After saying that, he smiled sweetly and drooled.

Just a few days after the father and daughter got home, little Amy’s condition suddenly worsened. But she insisted that she just had a cold and refused to let her dad take her to the hospital. It was not until the moment she stopped breathing that her dad suddenly realized: The hospital had deceived him!

Amy’s dad stumbled into the hospital, wailing and demanding that the hospital pay for his daughter’s life.

The attending doctor took out a piece of paper and handed it to the grief – stricken Amy’s dad. There was a fingerprint and a few lines of writing on the paper, and there was also a red incense stick夹着. He immediately recognized that it was left by his daughter:

Dad, I know I have late – stage leukemia. I voluntarily gave up treatment! Please don’t blame your daughter, and don’t blame the hospital. I heard from Aunt that burning incense can bring good luck. If I’m gone, Dad, please light this incense for me…
