Another thief breaks into the house chapter 1
by Joshua Wallace{{David had just moved into his new house for a few days when his cousin from his hometown came to him. The cousin said that he had just found a job in a company near David’s house and had no place to stay temporarily, so he wanted to stay at David’s house for a while.
The new house had three bedrooms and two living – rooms, and they didn’t have children. David couldn’t find a reason to refuse, so he agreed. In the first few days, David and his wife got along well with the cousin. But just after a week, problems arose. One morning, after David got up, he found that there were 400 dollars less in his wallet.
There were originally five 100 – dollar bills in the wallet. It was the pocket money his wife, Lily, gave to David yesterday, and now there was only one left. David first asked Lily if she had taken the money. She curled her lips and said, “When have I ever given you money and then taken it back? Our house is on the first floor. Maybe a thief has broken in?”
